Yes, all VAST swimmers must be registered.
Are all your Coaches registered with US Masters Swimming?

What do I do if I only want to participate in one of your events?
You can either opt to purchase a one event membership when you sign-up for the event, or use your one month free US Masters Swimming trial membership.
What equipment do I need?
A swimsuit and goggles to start with. We recommend a swim cap if you have longer hair. Once you start with those basic items; you can add a pull bouy, snorkel, paddles, fins, and a kick board to your kit. Coaches may suggest other items depending on your particular needs.
Which LMSC is VAST in?
Is VAST considered a club or workout group?
VAST is a club.
How much does it cost to join?
Nothing, you just start paying the monthly dues and you can start.
What is your monthly dues?
Do VAST offer any discounts? Yes, VAST offers discounts for selected employers, government agencies, and members of the military.
What do I get for my money?
You get workouts designed to help you reach your aquatics goals. These are written by experienced coaches who know how to help swimmers of all abilities improve.
I want more individualized workouts, can I get them from VAST?
Yes, you can purchase personalized coaching sessions for $75 per hour.
What kind of experience do I need to work with your coaches?
If you can swim a length of the pool (25 yards) without stopping, we can work with you! VAST is designed for all swimmers, regardless of prior experience or accomplishments.
Do I need to compete to become a member of VAST?
No, but we encourage all athletes to consider competing as a way of staying motivated towards achieving a goal. Our coaches can discuss this subject with you in order to set goals and provide a focus for your training.
